Jesus prayed to the Father that all those who are in Him would be one. There are many ways to achieve this, and I will cover some of them in Lesson One. It is essential to consider how one might achieve unity among individuals with diverse personalities.
One or unity, what is the biblical difference? We find the same with living in the Spirit and walking in the Spirit. Living and walking in the Spirit, you ask?
In order to be one, you must biblically receive salvation by confessing with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe with your most innermost being that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, as found in Romans 10:9.
This process is not just saying you believe scripture says satan believes and trembles (James 2:19), and he surely isn’t saved. It must be a complete body transformation.
Once you are saved Once you are saved you receive the Holy Spirit, which is before the outpouring found in Acts.
Jesus breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22. After Jesus rose from the dead, He made sure that before He left, He would send the Comforter. This is a different process, as described in John 14:16, 14:26, and 15:26, where the Holy Spirit’s role is as a helper, teacher, and guide for believers.
—–The Power from on High was given when those in the upper room were One and in total unity. The Greek word for together in Acts 1:1 is ὁμοῦ homoú; it means one and the same, like, similar. At the same place or time, together.
